The country’s leading rigid packaging solutions company has now won six India Star awards in the last seven years
• India Star Award by Indian Institute of Packaging is the highest recognition for Packaging Excellence in India . • Manjushree won the awards for its innovations with leading FMCG companies, Cadbury, Del Monte and Unilever. • The India Star award also qualifies Manjushree for the Asia Star and World Star Awards. The Company won two World Star awards last year.
Bangalore based packaging major Manjushree Technopack Ltd has won three India Star Awards for the year 2009-10. India Star Award by the leading industry body, Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), is the premier award amongst India ’s packaging fraternity. Manjushree won the awards for three of its packaging innovations provided to leading FMCG companies, Cadbury, Del Monte and Unilever. The company won the awards in two categories, the Cadbury’s Bubbaloo jar won in the ‘Consumer Packaging Design’ category and the Del Monte’s Twango / Zingo and Unilever’s Kissan Squeezo multilayer sauce bottles won in the ‘Food Packaging Design’ category.
The India Star Award has been instituted by IIP to encourage and recognise new and innovative concepts in packaging. The objective behind the India Star is to promote and award excellence in packaging design, innovation and technology. Manjushree Technopack has been a regular winner of these awards and with this year’s addition; the tally now stands at 6.

The Cadbury’s Bubbaloo Jar that won the award in the ‘Consumer Packaging Design’ category has been recognised for its functionality and unique shape, that makes it attractive to the key target audience; children. The Twango /Zingo bottles designed by Manjushree for Del Monte that won the award in the ‘Food Packaging Design’ category have been made using the latest multilayer technology, which ensures that the sauces can be poured out easily by just squeezing the bottle. The Squeezo for Unilever’s Kissan is an attractive, easy to hold, flip-top cap open bottle and another example of the application of multilayer technology pioneered by Manjushree and now adopted by all ketchup majors.
The awards will be presented on October 1st in Mumbai, as a part of ‘INDIAPACK 2010’, attended by leading lights from the industry. These awards also qualify Manjushree to participate in the prestigious Asia Star and World Star Awards, Instituted by World Packaging Organisation. Manjushree Technopack won two World Star Awards in 2008-09 for PepsiCo (Quaker Oats Jar) and the Rhodes Group (Multilayer Jar for cut fruits), South Africa based food major.
