The new product from Americhem line features superior dispersion technology resulting in lower pack pressure rise, fewer spin breaks and pack changes and higher yields. Americhem masterbatches promote uniform dispersion throughout the fibre and hence they significantly reduce the presence of aggregates and agglomerates thereby
increasing pack life and spinning efficiency. Americhem’s dispersion quality ensures unequaled fibre strength.

Larry Campbell, Americhem’s Global Technology Director for non woven fibre products, highlighted another benefit of Americhem’s non woven masterbatches and that is, reduction of die face buildup. ‘We’ve formulated our dispersions to virtually eliminate die face buildup and this results in fewer fabric defects and higher yield for our customers’, Campbelll explained.

In addition to custom colour, Americhem has enhanced its range of performanceadditives for the non woven sector. The company’s additive portfolio now includes nDuramax™ UV stabilisers, antimicrobials, flame retardants, antioxidants and tracers for non wovens. The company designs custom colour and additive packages in a
single masterbatch or these additives can be designed as stand-alone products.

The company’s advancements in product technology will be coupled with new inhouse manufacturing simulation equipment. Americhem will install its new custom-made spun bonded non woven pilot line at its plant which will allow faster product development and testing, reducing the amount of new product development conducted on customers’ manufacturing equipment.
