Sharing his views on Budget 2010-11, Mr. Prasad Chandran, Chairman, BASF Companies in India & Head South Asia stated, "With increased focus on infrastructure and a growth-oriented budget, we expect end-user demand to remain buoyant. This in turn would translate into greater opportunities for BASF products."

"Extension of R&D deductions for the manufacturing businesses is a positive signal. This will provide major impetus for R&D-oriented industries and promote product innovations", he added.
