This is a National Association for Plastic Woven Sacks Manufacturers and was founded in the year 1971. There are about 1200 units in India and the hub of the Industry is in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Eastern and Northern States. The approximate investment in the sector is Rs.8,000 crores. The industry consumes 1000 kilo tonnes of raw materials. The product consist of woven sacks for bulk packaging of cement, fertilizers, chemicals, sugar and food-grains. Recently, the product mix is diversify to other areas of Agro Horticulture, Geo Textile, Tarpaulins etc.
