PLASTINDIA 2009, the 7th International Plastics Exhibition & Conference organised by PLASTINDIA Foundation has received overwhelming response from exhibitors all around the world. This six-day mega event will take place between 4th and 9th February at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India .
PLASTINDIA 2009 – BIGGER & BETTER We take this opportunity to thank all patrons of PLASTINDIA for their unflinching support to help the PLASTINDIA 2009, which is all set to scale unprecedented heights. AC Nielsen-ORG MARG has ranked this triennial expo at par with any other International Fairs and now the 2nd best plastics fair in the world. PLASTINDIA 2009 will showcase Indian Plastics Industry as ‘The Emerging Global Sourcing Hub of Plastics’.
PLASTINDIA 2006 was an exceptionally successful exhibition in the history of PLASTINDIA Foundation. We are pleased to announce that PLASTINDIA 2009 is poised for a significant increase in size over the PLASTINDIA 2006. While the global economy is going through a tough phase, for the Indian plastics market there is still solid optimism looking at the current average per capita plastic consumption of 5 kg per annum against the global average of 27 kg.The gross area at PLASTINDIA 2009 exceeds the last event by a whooping 20 per cent. The number of exhibitors has also increased by a significant 15 per cent, with a substantial number of companies still waiting to grab the opportunity and be present at this largest event of the country. It is expected that around 100,000 business visitors would attend this mega event.
GLOBAL EXCITMENT With FUTURE IS HERE as the theme for PLASTINDIA 2009, global promotions were thus a fulcrum of all marketing activities. The figures of 42 per cent increase in overseas area footprint & an increase of 17 per cent in the number of exhibitors in this category is testimony to this success. For the first time, PLASTINDIA 2009 will host as many as 20 country pavilions with Germany, China, Taiwan, Italy, USA, UK, Japan, UAE as most prominent.
Despite a global economic slowdown, more so in the USA & Europe, there are several country delegates who are committed to visit PLASTINDIA 2009. PLASTINDIA Foundation has promoted the show extensively in countries like USA, UK, China, Japan, East Africa, Vietnam, Turkey, Taiwan, Hungary, Oman, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc.
EVENT PROFILE 902 domestic exhibitors and 427 overseas exhibitors would showcase their products, technology and services at the show. Major groups would be machinery, raw materials & finished products.
In its efforts to maximise area available so as to provide an opportunity for maximum companies to showcase their display, PLASTINDIA has been successful in increasing the ratio of gross area to built up area by 4 per cent as compared to last time. Efforts are still on to help companies waiting for some booth presence at PLASTINDIA 2009.
